Neutering/Spaying
I strongly recommend getting your Schnoodle puppy fixed, unless you are a professional breeder. Getting him/her fixed helps prevent many diseases of the urinary track and reproductive track. Plus, fixed Schnoodles tend to be more calm and listen better to their owners. Schnoodle puppies can be neurtered/spayed at roughly 6 months of age.
Ask your veteranarian for the best time and schedule an appointment for the procedure. Some vets will require you to leave your Schnoodle overnight at the vet office for observation since it is minor surgery. Our vet just performed the procedure very early in the morning and had us pick up Toby in the evening.
Once you get your Schnoodle home after the procedure, try to keep his/her activity down. I realize a puppy is hard to control, but do your best to keep him/her calm.
